I am always telling people to promote yourself online. One of my Facebook friends who belongs to the same network marking company as I do made a post with a very nice graphic about how to make a strawberry cheese cake smoothie shake using one of the company’s products. Her Facebook post is below:
“Who fancys one of these as a snack” was her comment above the post graphic, which was a good attention grabber.
Another way to go about promoting yourself online would be to add a shortened URL that will take anyone interested in your product to a page where they can learn more and order it.
There are several sites that a search will bring up to shorten your URL. My favorite, and the one I recommend using is Bitley.com. The reason I like Bitley is because it lets you title your shortened URL’s and save them. Another feature that I like is that it has a search feature to use to find URL’s that you have already shortened.
When I shared the post I added additional text directing the post reader to a URL that took them to a page where they could order the product directly for themselves.
Always remember the rule to give postings of value 80% of the time and promote your product directly only 20% of the time. This is called the 80/20 rule. When you do make a post to promote your product include a link that will allow the reader to go to a page to purchase it or a blog post with more information about the product and links to purchase it.
